Jan 4:
Me: Tomorrow is the weekend. Daddy will be home for two days. Cool huh?
Caleb: Mommy, don’t say that.
Me: Say what? “Cool, huh”?
Caleb: Yeah, that’s embarrassing.
This a momentous occasion in my professional career as a Mom. I am officially embarrassing!
Jan 6:
Finally sorted, folded and put away all the clean clothes, including 17 pairs of Caleb’s underwear. Either he’s changing undies 3 times a day or it’s been a *really* long time since I dealt with the washed clothes.
Jan 7:
Baby woke up at 5am. Changed, fed and back to bed just in time for Charlotte to fall out of bed and refuse to go back to sleep. And since she won’t leave the bedroom with out her posse, Ana and Caleb got up too. It’s going to be a long day.
Jan 8:
It’s 8:40pm. Time for bed. Hoping not to wake up for the day at 5 o’anything tomorrow.
Jan 9:
No such luck for me today. 5:08am.
Jan 10:
Why why why does it take 30 minutes to get out the door?! And when when when will I learn that it takes 30 minutes to get out the door and start leaving earlier?!
Jan 21:
My Kitchen Aid stand mixer is broken and Shane had the nerve to suggest we could just get another one!! My beautiful 6qt. pistachio green stand mixer! Thankfully I found a repair place in San Jose. Crisis averted.
Jan 22:
Cheesecake for breakfast. Yes, I did.
Did I mention my stand mixer is broken? I’m sad.
Jan 23:
I have a new rule:
Children are not allowed to slam, hang on, play with, open, close or even touch any door in the house!!!
Charlotte keeps stripping and running around the house yelling “poopoo! poopoo!”. It’s frightening.
Jan 24:
Charlotte is naked and running though the house slamming doors behind her. *sigh*
I’m a bit in shock. Eliza has been waking up twice at night. But last night she slept from 8pm to 6:30am!! Even if it doesn’t happen again for a few months, it was nice to sleep through the night.
Jan 25:
I think I’ve watched Cars2 a few too many times. I keep saying “nutso”.
Jan 26:
hmmm… maybe I shouldn’t have those clever little lines on my header right under my blog name. Someone just referred to my blog as “Marie Oliveira cooks with bacon and cream” :/
Charlotte tried to potty by herself and fell half way into the toilet. And I actually rescued her before getting the camera and taking a few pictures.

Charlotte is mad at me because I won’t let her drink her chocolate milk with a spoon from an open cup. #meanmommy
